Teaser Trailer (2025)
The Anthropocene: a big word. But it's not science fiction, it's a daily reality—floods, droughts, and heatwaves.

Garbage and pollution. Fishers going farther out to return with smaller catches. Farmers losing crops to uncertain rains. Toxic streams and cracked house walls from nearby mines that feed global supply chains. People’s migrations to cities, trading one precarity for another.

Construction workers raising concrete, day labourers and hawkers on roadsides with heat pressing skin and dust filling lungs. Premature and still births. Less space for intimacy. Disabled people's fraught journeys to work. And unpaid school fees, crippling hospital bills, and debt payments larger than healthcare and education budgets combined. Unpaid reparations. The erosion of ancestral knowledge and loss of ways of life amid the spectres of colonial afterlives.
But it’s more than an environmental crisis, it’s about how we live together, how we share what we have, and how we pursue justice.

This series brings these stories into focus through African perspectives that centre farmers, artists, activists, workers and dreamers who are shaping new narratives for the continent and the world.

We look forward to sharing this moment with you: a celebration of African creativity, determination and imagination in the face of global change.
